Our program provides you with a solid foundation and prepares you for a career in the exciting world of international business. The program also offers flexibility so you can choose to broaden your studies across a range of areas or focus on a niche skill set that speaks to your talents and career desires. Core topics include; the principles of international business, cross-cultural management, international marketing, trade and finance, managing global logistics and global strategy.

Learn how to identify corporate social responsibilities in the global business environment and present an international business case to senior managers of regional companies. You’ll get hands-on experience with a regional business developing an international business marketing strategy as well as the potential to undertake an internship business project for a regional company.

Immerse yourself in another culture and travel overseas to study a semester in another country. Expand your job horizons and study a language as a four-course elective.

International business opens up a world of opportunities both locally and globally and our graduates enjoy great success in the international business job market.

Select 9 elective courses. Of the electives, 6 must be advanced level (200/300 coded) courses. A minimum of 3 courses must be from the School of Business, and the remaining 6 electives may be from either faculty (Arts, Business and Law or Science, Health, Education and Engineering).

In order to graduate you must:

  • Successfully complete 288 units as outlined in the Program Structure

  • Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 units per semester (normally 4 courses) and following the recommended study sequence

  • Most courses are valued at 12 units unless otherwise specified

  • Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods which may include essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations
  • As part of your USC program, you may apply to Study Overseas to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider
  • Only a full-time study option is available to international students on a Student Visa
