Facilities
Sports Arena
The $24 million sports arena is the only facility of its kind in the region. It is fully air-conditioned, seats 3,000 spectators with national standard facilities for netball, basketball, futsal, hockey and badminton.
Aquatic
UniSC Sunshine Coast has an Olympic-standard, 10-lane, 50-metre heated pool, a six-lane 25-metre pool, cold immersion and warm plunge pool and aquatic recovery equipment. The elite training ground is used year-round by recreational swimmers and Olympic and Paralympic champions.
Gyms
Two fully-equipped indoor gyms offer the latest equipment including indoor and outdoor functional training zones. Gym instruction caters to all fitness levels from high-performance athletes to beginner.
Playing fields
Multipurpose playing fields for Rugby Union, Rugby League, Football, Cricket and AFL training are available with lighting for night-time play.
Track and field
The IAAF-standard athletics track has eight and ten lane running tracks and equipment for hurdles, steeplechase, javelin, shot-put, discus, hammer-throw, high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault and disabled throw events.
Outdoor courts
UniSC has outdoor hard courts for tennis, basketball and netball. Night lighting is available for after-dark competition.

UniSC supports athletes and teams at the highest levels of sporting competition. Our rising champions achieve their personal best in sport, competition and study, surrounded by the right expertise, people and facilities.
Physical Performance Coaching
Physical performance coaches (PPC) use assessment and screening, individualised training and conditioning, required recovery and overall load management to help high performance athletes achieve their athletic potential.

Bachelor of Sports Studies

Sunshine Coast Lightning
UniSC is a proud Foundation Principal Partner of the Sunshine Coast’s first national sports team. The Sunshine Coast Lightning trains and plays home games at the UniSC Arena.
Sunshine Coast Thunder
Sunshine Coast Thunder netball club provides a stepping for netballers looking to progress from grassroots to professional netball.
Australian Cycling Academy
ACA is an elite training academy taking an athlete-centric approach to high performance cycling coaching
USC Spartans
UniSC's high performance swim team includes Olympic and Paralympic medallists. They train at the USC pool under Head Coach Chris Mooney.
