Rules for majors, minors and specialisations
- Students are required to register their major, minor or specialisation choices. For majors and minors complete the Registration of Majors/Minors form and submit it to Student Central. For registration of postgraduate specialisations please contact Student Central
- A major consists of 96 units, a minor consists of 48 units and a specialisation consists of 48 units
- Students may select courses which contribute to any major, minor or specialisation offered by the University providing they comply with the requirements of their program
- Courses credited to a student's academic record for prior learning may also count towards majors, minors or specialisations where those courses are deemed equivalent
- Some majors, minors and specialisations may require additional elective courses as required prerequisites (Faculty of Arts, Business and Law undergraduate elective courses or Faculty of Arts, Business and Law postgraduate elective courses)
