Minor

For a minor in Public Relations, students must successfully complete 4 courses:

1 required course:
CMN120 Internship/Research Project (Professional Communication)

Plus select 3 courses from:

CMN218 Crisis and Issues Management
CMN226 Media and Community Relations
CMN229 Advertising: Copy and Image
CMN231 Media and Promotion: Tourism and Hospitality

Notes

  • Students are eligible to apply for the Public Relations major after the end of their second year of full-time study or equivalent. Preference is given to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Communication and coordinator permission is required to enrol in CMN243 and CMN273.
  • Students not able to undertake a Public Relations major may be eligible for a Communication Studies major.
