Healthy and affordable food choices. Provide healthy and affordable food choices for all on campus.

UniSC is committed to providing healthy and affordable food choices for all students, staff and visitors on campus. Various food outlets across UniSC campuses offer a range of nutritious options to cater to different dietary needs and preferences. For instance, Café C on the Sunshine Coast campus focuses on organic and healthy meals, including paleo and gluten free options. This ensures that students have access to wholesome food that supports their overall well-being.

The Brasserie, the main dining hall on the Sunshine Coast campus, offers a variety of hot meals, sandwiches, and vegetarian options. The Brasserie also provides student-subsidised food options, making it more affordable for students. This initiative helps to ensure that all students, regardless of their financial situation, can access nutritious meals. The Good Bean café, located between the Information Communications Technology Building and the Library, serves healthy snacks, wraps, salads, and juices, further promoting a balanced diet on campus.

UniSC also extends its commitment to healthy eating across its other campuses. For example, the Gourmet Press at the Moreton Bay campus offers gourmet toasties, sandwiches, and bowls, while the campus café at Caboolture provides a variety of hot and cold meals, including daily specials like curries and casseroles. These options ensure that students at different campuses have access to healthy and affordable food choices, supporting their academic performance and overall health.

Moreover, UniSC promotes sustainability and local sourcing in its food services. Café C, for instance, emphasizes responsibly sourced, local, and seasonal food. This not only supports local producers but also ensures that the food served is fresh and nutritious.

Summary

By offering a variety of healthy and affordable food options across its campuses, UniSC demonstrates its commitment to the well-being of its community, making it easier for students and staff to maintain a healthy lifestyle while on campus.
