Theatre and PerformanceMajorMinor

If you have a passion for the performing arts or aspire to a life on the stage, then consider studying Theatre and Performance. Your studies will allow you to experience the thrill of live performance and guide you towards success as a performer, director, educator, or stage manager.

You will explore traditional and contemporary approaches to voice and text and study elements of 20th-century theatre to learn how to captivate and hold an audience.

You’ll study theatre history, acting, directing and performance leadership, culminating in a fully realised original devised production. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers and make an impact on the Sunshine Coast with regular public performances throughout USC’s theatre season.

Taught by national and international award-winning industry experts, the skills you learn can be applied to a broad range of careers and industry sectors, including education, creative industries, communication, events management and more.
