If you enjoy keeping abreast of the latest in current affairs and want to experience the buzz of a newsroom, then consider studying Journalism. Journalists play an integral role in modern society, ensuring the public stays informed on the latest in local and global news.

Your studies will prepare you for a rewarding career in your chosen field of journalism, including broadsheet, podcasting, radio, digital, video and television. You will master all the essentials of journalism, from conducting your first interview to writing for online publications and navigating digital media.

You will be taught by academic staff with strong current industry connections and have opportunities for publication from your first year of study. You will have the opportunity to publish work from your first year of study and graduate with an impressive multimedia portfolio to present prospective employers.

The Journalism Major can be selected in the Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Sports Studies, Bachelor of Arts, and any double degrees that include the Bachelor of Arts.

The Journalism Minor can be selected in the Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Nutrition.
