Our one-year honours program has a strong focus on clinical practice and allows registered midwives to research contemporary health issues. You’ll develop your research capabilities through coursework and a research project focused on a topic you’re passionate about. You’ll also extend your clinical practice knowledge with the opportunity to complete a professional internship.

At the end of the program, you’ll have clinical practice knowledge and a developed capacity to undertake research within a midwifery practice context. Admission requirements
Students will have satisfied the requirements for the award of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Midwifery award (or equivalent), be registered with AHPRA; met the English language requirement and have demonstrated a high level of achievement evidenced by a GPA of 5.0 over the second and third year of a degree program.
Membership
Graduates will be eligible to apply for membership to the Australian College of Midwives.
