Students choose studies in humanities, social sciences and business to develop a varied skill base and increase career options.
They can combine complementary specialisations such as creative advertising and marketing or international studies and international business. Students can select from a range of subject areas: arts and social sciences studies are available in a broad range of specialisations; business courses are drawn from any of the majors/minors offered by the School of Business.

Arts majors: A broad range of arts majors are available, including social science; communication and languages.
Business majors: accounting; financial planning; human resource management; information systems; international business; management; marketing; tourism, leisure and event management.

In order to graduate you must:
- Complete 1 major (8 courses) from the School of Communication or School of Social Sciences.
- Complete 1 minor (4 courses) from the School of Communication or School of Social Sciences.
- Complete 3 electives from the School of Communication or School of Social Sciences.
- Complete 9 required courses
- Complete 7 advanced level (200/300 coded) elective courses from the School of Business
- Complete 1 elective from either Faculty
- Complete no more than 5 introductory level (100 coded) courses from the 15 required School of Communication or School of Social Sciences courses.
- Complete no more than the 6 required introductory level (100 coded) courses from the 15 required Business courses.

Complete no more than 15 introductory level (100 coded) courses in total, including the core course.
- Register your selected Major and Minor with your Faculty.
Program notes
- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses).
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods including essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations. Not all courses will necessarily include all methods.
- As part of your USC program, you may apply to participate in the Global Opportunities (GO) Program to undertake courses with an overseas higher education provider. It is advisable to contact your Program Advisor to discuss timing and course issues.
