Mathematics

Major

For a major in Mathematics, students must successfully complete 8 courses.

Students should be aware of the following:

MTH102 assumes you have successfully completed Years 11-12 Mathematics B (or equivalent). Note that MTH102 is a prerequisite for advanced level (200 and 300 level) mathematics courses.

If you have not successfully completed Years 11-12 Mathematics B (or equivalent) you should consider undertaking MTH100 first however, MTH100 does not meet the prerequisite necessary to enrol in advanced level mathematics courses. In this instance in order to proceed to 200 or 300 level mathematics courses, you would first need to successfully complete MTH100 and then MTH102 . Students should ensure this option would not affect their program requirements and should seek advice from a Program Advisor.
