Student Handbook, Semester 2, 2011: Biomedical Science specialisation

Study Plan

Students that successfully follow the study plan for the Biomedical Science specialisation as listed below will be eligible to apply to transfer into either of the following programs:

Students should seek Program Advice from the Faculty H Block Admin office or email FosheProgramAdvice@usc.edu.au with regards to queries on Program progression.

 

Year 1
Core courses (2)

Complete 2 core courses—ONE in your first semester and ONE in your second semester.

Select 1 elective course from any faculty (Science, Health and Education, Arts and Social Sciences or Business).

Please note:  SCI110 Science Research Methods should be studied in Semester 1.
Please note: One elective course should be studied in Semester 2.

^ Students who have not successfully completed the prerequisite courses of LFS100 Cell Biology or LFS103 Introductory Bioscience(or equivalent) for LFS112 Human Physiology must seek permission from the Course Coordinator to enrol in this course. Students who have not met the prerequisite requirements, or who need to refresh their knowledge of biology and chemistry are advised to enrol in ENB126 Enabling Physiology, which is conducted prior to the commencement of Semester 2.
