Designed specifically for current practice nurses.

The Graduate Certificate in Nursing (General Practice) is designed specifically for current practice nurses to develop knowledge and skills to practise competently within the changing general practice environment.

The aim is to expand the skills and knowledge base of practice nurses and support the development of flexible, informed and evidence-based practices. The program is particularly designed to enable students to apply and adapt new knowledge and skills directly to their work environment.

This program has been developed in consultation with the Australian General Practice Network, which works closely with the University in facilitating its delivery.

In the first phase, you complete three courses (36 units) that emphasise practice within the general practice environment. These courses are delivered by USC adjunct staff who are also experienced practice nurses. In the second phase, you complete an elective course (12 units) online. Throughout the program you are supported through the program website.
