Program overview

Property and asset management is an important area of business and one of the fastest growing professional services in Australia. It underpins areas such as residential and commercial developments, construction, tourism, and facilities management. The program includes the core business courses such as marketing, accounting, economics and human resource management to ensure graduates understand business and how it operates. These are supported by specialist units to develop detailed knowledge on key industry areas such as property economics, property management, investment decision making, property law, valuation issues, and asset and facilities management. Students also learn to apply through case studies, fieldwork and projects, the tools and work skills needed for effective property and asset management such as feasibility studies, project management, and financial analysis so that graduates can contribute to business and develop long term careers in this growing and increasingly diverse area.

Students can apply to undertake first-year courses in this program at the USC Noosa Centre. Please note that the option to study at Noosa is not available to international students.

Students and graduates may apply to the Australian Property Institute, the Facilities Management Association of Australia, the Project Management Institute, Property Council of Australia (non-residential property development), the Urban Development Institute of Australia, Australian Institute of Urban Studies and the Institute of Planning Australia.
