TPP102 ICT for Academic and Professional Applications
This course is designed to teach fundamental skills in ICT and develop your confidence in ICT usage to prepare you for lifelong learning. It begins with a self-assessment of your needs which you will use to develop expertise in the ICT tools most applicable to you and your academic and career goals. This course will use a combination of guided instruction and online resources to help you gain expertise in software use. Negotiated assessment makes this course suitable for all levels of ICT learners.

Want to make a difference to others and contribute to creating healthy communities? The professional skills, foundational theories and social justice principles introduced and practiced in this course, apply to professionals whose core business is the welfare, wellbeing and management of people, within community and society. This includes professions such as counsellors, psychologists, social workers, allied health, human services, teachers and others. This course will introduce you to the appropriate personal and social skills and knowledge, to work ethically with diversity and difference; and understand how these apply to you, community and health-based social industry careers. What you learn and explore, will contribute to your overall success at university, your professional life, and beyond.

TPP115 Maths for Science and Engineering
This course develops a foundation for further studies in mathematics. It comprises most concepts from the Queensland Year 12 Mathematical Methods curriculum, excluding statistics, thus satisfying the math entry requirement for Engineering at USC. To succeed at this course you will need to have a reasonable knowledge of math at least to TPP104 level, and be determined to succeed. A TPP115 readiness quiz to assist in judging your assumed knowledge is available on the My Open Math website (course ID 66583, enrollment key TPP104 .115).
