Session 1: Strategic Management (Dr Wayne Graham) In today's uncertain and changing environment, organisation leaders face the challenge of making difficult decisions on a wide range of issues vital to achieving their organisations’ goals and objectives. The understanding of the organisation’s resources and capabilities and the knowledge of the complex external business environment can assist managers make these difficult decisions in a systematic and timely manner. The execution of such decision and subsequent action can improve organisational performance and ensure sustained value for all organisational stakeholders. |

Session 2: Harnessing the power of innovation to respond to disruptive change (Dr Retha Scheepers) Organisations today face challenges such as digital disruption, capricious customers and sustainability stresses. This requires re-thinking how we do business. This session will focus on how organisations can respond with innovation to these challenges, offering several innovation alternatives and sharing case studies of how local innovators are responding to disruptive change. |

Session 3: Leadership and the Zone of Engagement (Dr John Whiteoak) The benefits of having higher levels of employee engagement in a workforce are well-documented. Likewise, it is well-known that the costs of disengaged workers are substantial. Even so, many managers and supervisors continue to struggle with managing engagement. This presentation provides strategies that can be used to increase levels of engagement (ZE) and reduce burnout risk among staff. |
