Our one-year honours program has a strong focus on clinical practice and allows registered midwives to research contemporary health issues. You’ll develop your research capabilities through coursework and a research project focused on a topic you’re passionate about. You’ll also extend your clinical practice knowledge with the opportunity to complete a professional internship.

Admission requirements
Students will have satisfied the requirements for the award of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Midwifery award (or equivalent), be registered with AHPRA; met the English language requirement and have demonstrated a high level of achievement evidenced by a GPA of 5.0 over the second and third year of a degree program.

Program structure
For students commencing Semester 1 or 2, 2016.
To graduate from the Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) a student is required to complete 4 courses (48 units) of coursework at AQF Level 8 and 4 courses (48 units) of study in the research component.
