The MPA introduces you to business with a focus on accounting.
Obtain associate membership by the three peak professional accounting bodies in Australia: CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). The content of the program reflects the mandatory requirements as determined by the professional bodies. Delivery is across 4 semesters and includes face-to-face lectures, tutorial participation and assessment tasks that reinforce the program learning outcomes.
- Only a full-time option is available to international students on a Student visa. Online programs are not available to Student visa holders.

Professional recognition
Graduates of the Master of Professional Accounting program will meet the educational requirements for admission as an associate member of CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and the Institute of Public Accountants. To gain full membership, graduates must complete the requirements of the chosen professional body’s qualification program.
Credit policy
It is the responsibility of the student to confirm with the three Australian accounting bodies (CPA, ICAA and IPA) whether any credit granted will impact on their eligibility for professional association membership.
Admission requirements
Entry to the Master of Professional Accounting program will normally require:
- An AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree (or equivalent).

- Student must complete 14 required courses.
- Students must complete 2 elective courses from any of the Masters programs offered by the School of Business.
- Students admitted to the program with a completed AQF level 7 Bachelor degree or equivalent in Business are eligible for four courses (48 units) of credit. This will include BUS502 Current Directions in Psychology, BUS503 Australian Society: How does(n't) it work? - An Introduction to Sociology and two electives.
- Only a full-time study option is available to international students on a Student Visa.
- Online study mode not available to international students on a Student Visa.
