The Master of Education offers you the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and understanding in education, research skills, and a strong foundation for furthering your career as an educational professional.

The program is aimed at practicing professionals working as educators in primary or secondary schools, early childhood, higher education and adult and vocational education. You can choose to follow either a coursework option for professional development or undertake a research project. 

Admission requirements

Candidates for the award of Master of Education are normally required to hold either:

  • an appropriate 4-year bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution focused on education

OR

  • a 3-year bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent, PLUS at least one year of appropriate education-based professional experience

International students need to refer to the University's English language proficiency requirements.
