Program overview
The Master of International Business is a contemporary flagship degree of the Faculty of Business. The degree has been especially designed to equip graduates with the international business skills they will need in managing a global environment of continuous change.
The degree is designed to exploit existing opportunities in the global environment but also to explore new and demanding business challenges. Graduates of the degree could be expected to be in demand for positions in export/import firms, foreign affairs and Government departments, human resource management such as repatriation and training, international liaison positions, logistics management, marketing and management consultancies, and purchasing and trade positions.
The degree will be ideal for graduates wishing to work in global corporations and will offer membership to selected institutions such as the Australian Institute of Management.
Professional membership and accreditation
Graduates will be eligible for membership in the Australian Institute of Management. All students may apply for membership also of Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, and the Australian and New Zealand International Business Academy.

Admission requirements
Students will require either:
- a bachelor's degree in business or related field from a recognised higher education institution with a minimum of a GPA of 4 (on a 7 point scale) or equivalent; or
- the USC Graduate Certificate in Management with a minimum of a GPA of 4 (on a 7 point scale) or equivalent approved course of study.
Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate an IELTS (Academic) overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in all subtests, or equivalent.
International students need to refer to the English language requirements.
Credit transfer and advanced standing
Students seeking credit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the Faculty subject to University policy.
Credit given for individual courses studied as part of another Master of International Business (or its equivalent) elsewhere will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

There will be three intakes each year. Prospective candidates should apply by no later than:
Session 1: 30 November
Session 4: 30 March
Session 8: 30 July
Scholarships
Candidates wishing to apply for a scholarship must complete a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Scholarships are available at several levels, including a half waiver of full fees, and a quarter waiver of full fees. The level of scholarship awarded will depend on the achievements evidenced by prospective students as part of their admissions process.
