Program overview

This program will be attractive to candidates whose prior degree is not in business, commerce, management or similar, and who are seeking an introduction to business and management at the graduate level. The Graduate Certificate in Management is also an entry pathway for candidates wishing to complete a Master of Management (MMgt) but do not possess a prior Bachelors degree in business or equivalent. As such the Graduate Certificate in Management provides an alternative pathway for these candidates and will appeal to candidates who are looking at career change but do not possess the relevant work experience to enter the MBA.

The USC sessional timetable allows candidates whose undergraduate degree is not in business to complete the Graduate Certificate in Management and the Master of Management qualification in 3 sessions or 12 months of full-time study. This potentially allows USC candidates faster completion when compared with other Australian universities operating on a semester basis.

The Graduate Certificate in Management is an introduction to graduate level study in business. Candidates are given the opportunity to build competency in four main areas of management.
