Student Handbook, Semester 1, 2010: Sustainability

Chart a sustainable future today. Students in any of USC's faculties may take a four course minor in Sustainability in their degree.

You may want to study sustainability to understand the environment better, pursue research opportunities or play your part in promoting sustainable practices. You can apply the principles of sustainability to your career, to a business idea, or to your everyday lifestyle.

For a minor in Sustainability students must successfully complete 4 courses:

2 required courses:
SUS101 Teaching Mathematics
SUS302 Becoming a Teacher

Plus select 2 courses from:
ENS281 Workplace Learning: Learning Engagement
ENP365 Teaching Reading and Writing in the Early Years
PUB102 Leading in Early Childhood Contexts
SUS201 Workplace Learning: Professional Engagement
SUS202 The Primary Curriculum: Holistic Design

Students interested in sustainability are also encouraged to choose COR111 Foundations of Sustainability as one of their core courses.
