Program overview
The Master of Management provides a broad spectrum of business and management courses that encourage candidates to deepen their knowledge in these areas beyond what they gained in their undergraduate degree. The Master of Management is an internationally recognised coursework Masters degree in Business that provides an alternative to the MBA for candidates who do not have the work experience required for MBA admission.
The Master of Management provides graduates with an in depth understanding of general business management principles and their application both locally and globally. Candidates will develop specific skills necessary to succeed in today's job market. Candidates develop the capacity to work as effective managers within public and private sector organisations, regionally, internationally and globally.
Upon completion of the Master of Management degree candidates are able to apply management and business theory in a modern business situation.
Master of Management studies develop competencies related to:
- analysis of business problems and situations
- business decision making
- written and oral communication
- creativity, questioning and investigation
- working individually and in teams
- adoption of a global outlook, and
- moral and social responsibility
These skills are essential tools for managers in their careers and to help their organisations succeed.
Admission requirements
- either a bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Management or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution with a minimum of a GPA of 4 (on a 7 point scale) or equivalent; or
- the USC Graduate Certificate in Management with a minimum of a GPA of 4 (on a 7 point scale) or equivalent
- candidates whose first language is other than English must demonstrate an appropriate level of English proficiency. Refer to the English language requirements

How to apply
Apply for a postgraduate program.
Intakes - when to apply
There will be two intakes each year. Prospective candidates should apply by no later than 30 January (first intake) and 29 May (second intake).
Note
Only a full-time study option is available to international students.
Costs
The cost of the 8-course Master of Management program is A$18,000 **
Scholarships
Candidates wishing to apply for a scholarship must complete a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Scholarships are available at several levels, including a half waiver of full fees, and a quarter waiver of full fees. The level of scholarship awarded will depend on the achievements evidenced by prospective students as part of their admissions process.
