Major

For a major in Public Relations, students must successfully complete 8 courses:
8 required courses:
CMN120 Introduction to Public Relations
CMN216 Crisis and Issues Management
CMN218 Media and Community Relations
CMN229 Media and Promotion: Tourism and Hospitality
CMN231 Communication Campaign Planning
CMN243 Production Workshop (Professional Communication)
CMN251 International Communication
CMN273 Internship/Research Project (Professional Communication)

Please note
  1. Students are eligible to apply for the Public Relations major after the end of their second year of full-time study or equivalent. Preference is given to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Communication and coordinator permission is required to enrol in CMN243 and CMN273 .
  2. Students not able to undertake a Public Relations major may be eligible for a Communication Studies major.

Minor
