Program overview

The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Design and Marketing) gives you the opportunity to combine advanced skills in computer-based design with a major in marketing. In the marketing portion of the program, you will learn how to design, develop, implement and manage effective marketing strategies, and analyse buying patterns and market potential.

In the design portion of the program, you will have the choice of three streams of study - Graphic Design, E-Media Design and 3D Design. These provide you with the creative, conceptual and technical skills for a well-rounded career base. You have the opportunity to develop a professional-quality portfolio of work.

Career opportunities

Knowledge and skills acquired through the Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business (Design and Marketing) are transferable across many sectors such as government, education, the arts, commerce, and industry. Depending on majors and minors chosen, opportunities may include 3D design, advertising, animation, corporate communication, graphic design, information visualisation, interpretive design, market research, marketing consultant, multimedia design and development, packaging, project management, publishing, visual communication, and web design.

  2. A maximum of 5 introductory level courses can be included in the 15 Arts and Social Sciences courses in this program.
  3. An introductory level course has a number less than 200 in its course code. An advanced level course has a number greater than 200 and less than 400 in its course code.
