Explore mid-year study options at Meet USC

Now is the ideal time to make mid-year career and study resolutions, according to USC.

USC will stage free events at its Sippy Downs and Fraser Coast campuses on Tuesday 9 May to help people explore their study options and find out how they can apply now to start university in July.

Meet USC is designed for people keen to change careers or boost their qualifications, and recent school leavers who do not want to wait until next year to start tertiary study.

Visitors can receive one-on-one advice from staff, attend a career planning session, take a campus tour with student ambassadors and find out what university is like with information sessions on select study areas.

One-on-one support is also available to help potential students complete their QTAC application on the day.

Applications are now open for mid-year entry to more than 90 undergraduate and postgraduate programs at USC, starting Semester 2 on 24 July. Students can also start USC’s free university bridging program called Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) in Semester 2.

It offers an alternative entry option for people who may not believe they are eligible for university or who want to upgrade their study skills before beginning undergraduate degrees next year. Students who complete TPP can gain direct entry to most USC programs.

Meet USC will be held from 4-7pm in Building J at the Sippy Downs campus, and from 3-6pm at the Fraser Coast campus. Visitors are asked to register for the campus tours and program information sessions, which will run at various times during the event.
