Adjunct Research Fellow
Dr George Freduah is an environmental research scientist interested in vulnerabilities and responses to climate and environmental change, environmental policies and management, small-scale fisheries governance and livelihoods. For the past years, he has worked on these issues in partnership with stakeholders in Ghana and Australia. For example, in his PhD research (2016), he examined how adaptive capacity is mobilized in response to socioeconomic and environmental change in the context of small-scale coastal fisheries of Ghana. He employs interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to research, drawing on environmental science, human geography and development studies. He has published in highly ranked peer-reviewed academic journals including Environmental Science & Policy, Applied Geography and The Geographical Journal.
