Your path to uni with flexible options

LEARN WHILE YOU LIVE.
LIVE WHILE YOU LEARN.

It doesn't matter if it's been a while since you last studied or if you haven't studied before, UniSC gives everyone the opportunity to pursue their study and career goals. Ask us how!

We understand going to uni is a big decision. Here’s what you may be wondering about studying at UniSC...

Can I balance my life with study?

Study part-time

We get it, you have a life. So even if you’re juggling study with work and family, you can still start your degree at a pace that suits you, from as little as 12 hours per week or 1-2 courses per semester.

Choose Blended or Online study

Many of our degrees are online, meaning you have the flexibility to attend your classes from home but can still access all the facilities and services available across all UniSC campuses.

If you would prefer to be on campus our Blended Learning offers the best of both worlds – attend your classes in-person while accessing your materials online at your own pace.

Money to help you study

Our scholarships and bursaries celebrate different types of skills and support people from all kinds of backgrounds, giving you the freedom to focus on your study.

You only need to submit one application form to be considered for most UniSC scholarships with up to $4.3 million available to students each year and almost half of scholarship applications successful. Find out more.

Where do I start?

Find your dream degree

Study options at UniSC include more than 150 programs over five campuses spread across South East Queensland with online and blended study options available

If you haven’t studied in a while, or are feeling a bit nervous, why not start small with one of our pathway options:

FREE 6-month bridging program

Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) helps you brush up on essential study skills and build your knowledge and confidence in the subject areas you’ll need for your degree, like critical reading, academic writing, science, business or maths.

Your life and work experience can help you get in to uni

UniSC offers a variety of pathways into uni. Your previous study or work experience can help you gain entry into your degree or qualification.

You may also be eligible to receive credit towards a UniSC qualification through:

  • Previous study: If you have a degree or part of a degree, completed Certificate IV and higher through TAFE/VET qualifications from Australia, or have a comparable overseas qualification.
  • Previous experience: Relevant experience such as work experience may also contribute to your eligibility for credit.

You will be prompted to apply for credit once you accept your offer to study at UniSC.

Fee help

Australian citizens are eligible for a HECS-HELP loan which allows you to defer fees and pay later, when you are earning more.

Scholarships

Scholarships are not just for ‘scholars’. UniSC offers hundreds of scholarships and bursaries for students for a range of criteria – all designed to support students while they are studying. Application is easy – complete one form to apply for most UniSC scholarships.

We do lectures differently

Forget about big, cold lecture theatres. Instead, elevate your employability and graduate job-ready with UniSC's hands-on learning and work placement opportunities, putting theory into practice.

Hands on learning opportunities and pathways into dream jobs

At UniSC students get to complete work integrated learning as a part of almost every degree we offer. This includes world heritage listed field trips to K'gari or work placements with education partners like the NRL Dolphins. Through hands-on learning experiences and work placements, you're not just studying – you're forging the path to your dream career.

A range of services and support is available

UniSC offers a range of services and support to make your transition to study as smooth as possible, including academic help, careers advice, free counselling and accessibility. In fact, we are so committed to supporting our students, we have a five-star rating for student support in the Good Universities Guide 2023/24.
