You’ll develop practical skills and learn fundamental knowledge in sport, exercise testing and measurement, coaching science, functional anatomy, motor control and biomechanics. In addition, the complementary studies allow you to follow your passions and strengths, and open the door to a range of creative and innovative sport and fitness careers.

Membership
This program does not meet the application eligiblity requirements for Exercise Scientist or Sport Scientist membership of Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). If professional membership in a sport or coaching area is required consider the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science or the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science.
However, the program provides graduates with highly relevant knowledge and skills closely aligned to a wide variety of career opportunities including: sports journalism; sports and outdoor adventure related media; public relations for teams, organisations and athletes; sports and tourism event planning and coordination; sports business management; and marketing sports related events, businesses and products.

In order to graduate you must:
- Successfully complete 288 units as outlined in the Program Structure
- Complete no more than 10 introductory (100 level) courses, including the core course
- Successfully complete a minimum of three (3) 300 level courses overall in the program
- You must select and register your compulsory major(s)/minor(s) as soon as possible
Program notes
- Completing this program within the specified (full-time) duration is based on studying 48 unit points per semester (normally 4 courses)
- Most courses are valued at 12 units unless otherwise specified
- Courses within this program are assessed using a variety of assessment methods which may include essays, seminar presentations, reports, in-class tests and examinations
