CRM105 Policing

This course introduces students to the foundations of policing. Students will learn about the operational practices such as community policing, problem-oriented policing, and zero-tolerance policing. Students will also examine the current and emerging critical issues in policing such as the use of force, the dangers of policing, police misconduct, and technology in policing. Throughout the course, students will be encouraged to think critically about the role of police in society, the challenges they face, and the impact of policing practices on individuals and communities.
