Rosie Rasmussen

Rosie is a Medical Laboratory Scientist with many years' experience working in pathology laboratories in both the public and private health sectors. She first joined the School of Health in 2019 as a sessional staff member and has taught undergraduate level courses in Haematology, Advanced Haematology and Blood Banking. Rosie is the Placement Co-ordinator for the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (Pathology) and is passionate about preparing her students for a career in pathology.

Rosie is currently undertaking a PhD at UniSC, School of Health, under the mentorship of Associate Professor Lin Fung and Dr Helen Faddy. In collaboration with Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, this study aims to develop an understanding of changes in the Australian blood donor population and plan for a sustainable donation program that will meet the needs of our ageing and increasingly multicultural population of the future.
