In her role as Lecturer in Occupational Therapy, Clinical Education Olivia understands the importance of theoretical and practical learning as she provides supervision, support and training to undergraduate students whilst they undertake placement and placement preparation courses.
Calling the Sunshine Coast home since 2003, Olivia continues to work closely with community partners to develop and maintain sustainable placement learning opportunities. Olivia has worked clinically as an occupational therapist in New Zealand, Australia and England across a variety of acute inpatient, rehabilitation and community settings, in both public and private practice.
Olivia is always learning and draws on knowledge, evidence, experience and creativity to facilitate engaging learning experiences that aim to prepare students for professional practice. Olivia is particularly interested in supporting students to demonstrate competency in applying theory and knowledge to clinical practice situations and developing their professional learning skills.
