Kaylenne Byrne is a lecturer in nursing in the School of Health. Kaylenne’s clinical career has spanned 20 years in intensive care, cardio-thoracic intensive care, coronary care and general surgical nursing areas in a variety of public and private Queensland hospitals. She has recent experience working as a student clinical facilitator assessing students in their work integrated . This has led to her developing an interest in exploring how students are assessed during their work integrated learning. Kaylenne has recently completed her Master’s in Nursing and is planning her PhD study.
Kaylenne’s teaching interests are the nursing preparation for practice courses, immersive simulation and clinical placement courses.
