Dr Alexandra Catling joined the Tropical Forests and People Research Centre as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2023. Her PhD at the University of Queensland focused on demographic responses to plant-plant interactions along resource gradients in natural Australia systems. Her core research interest is understanding the impacts of environmental change on plant communities. She has experience researching drought and thermal tolerance in glasshouse and field settings, including monitoring growth of Eucalyptus trees across lutruwita/Tasmania and population growth rates of annual plants in Western Australia.
