Insights from Professor Barry Drust

UniSC's Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems welcomes world renowned sport scientist Professor Barry Drust who will deliver a public lecture that will provide valuable insights into cutting-edge sports science.

Professor Drust will present his work on enhancing athlete physical performance in elite level sport, including experiences with Liverpool FC, and the England Men’s Football team. He will also touch on how semi-professional and community sport athletes with limited resources can benefit from sports science practises.

About the presenter

Professor Barry Drust is a world leading expert in sports science at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles in exercise physiology. Professor Drust has held positions as a sport science consultant to The England Men’s football team, Liverpool FC, Rangers FC, and The Association of Sporting Directors.

Professor Drust is actively involved in directing the research for several Premier League and Football League organisations around the world. He also advises the global sports industry by providing expert knowledge to companies such as Nike, and sports injury AI company Zone7.
