Student expectations and responsibilities

Your expectations and responsibilities as a student

The University expects that all students, staff and visitors to the University will treat each other with courtesy and respect, and be able to work and study in an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment (bullying), or victimisation. Behaviour that breaches University policy will not be tolerated, and may, in fact, be unlawful.

The University of the Sunshine Coast has developed a Student Charter in consultation with its student body. This important document sets out the expectations the University has of its students and also the obligations of the University to its students.

There are links from this page to the Student Charter and other policies and procedures, which detail your rights as well as your responsibilities as a member of the University community. As a student of the University, you can make an important contribution to making USC a truly inclusive and welcoming place of learning for all.
