"After not studying for 20 years and being a mature 51 yr old student, I felt excited but also very apprehensive. My goal was to learn to navigate the learning systems and learn the basics of what is expected in assessment tasks. Orientation gave me confidence after attending eight pre-semester skills workshops... I did a practice essay and made a phone appointment with Daniel, one of the Learning Advisers. Daniel’s reassurance has made me feel ready to attack my courses. Overall, everyone I came across throughout O week was so welcoming and friendly."
