Having trouble logging into your UniSC account?

We recently made some important changes to UniSC’s Microsoft 365 systems. Since then, you may have experienced some issues logging into your UniSC account or accessing your emails or files from some apps (eg on your smartphone or laptop).

Below are instructions and links to user guides that can help you troubleshoot and get your access back.

If you can't log in to your account on a web browser

If you need access straight away, open your chosen browser (Chrome, Safari or Edge) and then open a new private browser window by pressing Ctrl-Shift-N (on Windows) or Command-Shift-N (on macOS). This should enable you to log in successfully.

  1. Clear your web browser's cache (PDF).
  2. Close then relaunch your web browser.
  3. Go to https://outlook.office365.com/owa/usc.edu.au/ and log in with your UniSC username and password.
  4. Once you log in, you may need to update your UniSC password. (When prompted, enter your current and new passwords.)

If you are experiencing trouble with accessing or syncing your Microsoft account or applications, please follow the relevant set of instructions to resolve this independently.

If you have followed all instructions relevant to your device in full, and the problem persists, please contact the Student IT Help Desk through UniSC Connect.

Please include the following information so the team can assist further.

• Your device type (e.g. MacBook pro, Samsung phone, Dell laptop)
• The application/s affected (e.g. OneDrive, Word, Outlook)
• The instructions that you have already tried
• Any steps listed in the instructions that could not be completed due to error
• Screenshots of any error messages you receive
• Additional steps you have tried to resolve the issue (if any).

Could your issue be related to MFA?

If you are seeing a notification that says "Your organisation requires more information" your issue could be related to the recent roll out of multi-factor authentication (MFA) on some UniSC systems such as the Student Portal, Canvas, and your Microsoft account.
