Now that you know which courses (subjects) you will study, you need to finalise your enrolment.
Enrolling is a two-step process
To complete your enrolment:
- Enrol in your courses, then
- Select your class times for the upcoming study period when class selection opens.
Your enrolment is not complete until you’ve selected your class times for your chosen courses.
- Log into USC Central
- Select Manage Enrolment
- Select Enrol by My Requirements
- To select the course required in your study sequence, select the Units list that corresponds to the course level ie. If searching for an Introductory (100 level) course, select Required Introductory 100 level units
- Select the course
- Select Enrol
- Select the available Course Component (eg Tutorial)
- Select the class
- Select Add Enrolment
- You will see a confirmation that the class has been added
- Select Return to Course Search Page and repeat steps 4-9 to enrol in your other courses
To view the courses you are enrolled in, select Update Class Times or return to the USC Central home page and select Program Progress to view your completed and enrolled courses.
Note: If you enrol in a course but don't select a class time or drop it from your enrolment before census date, you'll still incur the fee for the course. You can add courses up until the end of week 2, and remove courses from your enrolment up until census date. View key dates in the academic calendar.

When class selection opens, select class times for the courses you have enrolled in.
Follow the below steps to add your class times for each of the courses you enrolled in:
- Log in to USC Central
- Select Manage Enrolment
- Select Update Class Times then the term you are selecting classes for
- Select the course under Choose classes to update
- Note: If a course already has the Status of ‘Enrolled – Classes selected’, it has no scheduled class times, so there are no further class selection steps you need to take for it
- You will need to select your preferred class time for each available Course Component (e.g. Laboratory 1, Tutorial/Workshop 1)
- Select your preferred class time
- Once you have selected class times for each Course Component, you will see a tick next to each of them
- Select Add Enrolment
- You will see a confirmation that the class has been added to your timetable
- Select Return to Course Search Page
- Select USC Central and repeat steps 2-9 to select classes for each of your courses.

- Note: If a course has only a Placement, Online or Fieldwork Component there will be no scheduled class time for the course
- Select your preferred class time
- Once you have selected class times for each Course Component, you will see a tick next to each of them
- Select Add Enrolment
- You will see a confirmation that the class has been added to your timetable
- Select Return to Course Search Page and repeat steps 4-11 to enrol in each of your courses
- To view your timetable, return to the USC Central homepage and select Timetable

Online and on-campus class options available
At class selection time, you may have the option to select an online or on-campus class. Most courses will offer both options and you are able to choose your preferred option.
Once you have selected your class times:
View your class timetable in USC Central to confirm you are enrolled in the courses you selected.

Once you are enrolled, learn how to manage your enrolment.
To prove your enrolment to Centrelink, print an unofficial transcript from USC Central:
- Log in to USC Central
- Select Transcripts
- Select Unofficial Academic Record from the drop-down menu, then select Submit
Once you have enrolled in your courses you can generate your invoice for the study period. Please note, if your enrolment is for courses in a future year the Tuition Fees will not be shown until the end of January in that year. Your fees will vary according to the courses you enrol in and whether you are a Commonwealth supported student, a Fee-paying student or an international student.
If you have applied and are eligible for HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP and/or SA-HELP your fees will display on your account until after census date, when they will be deferred to your HELP loan. If you have successfully set up your HELP loans, this will be shown on your invoice.
If you are not eligible for HELP assistance, are an international student, or if you choose to pay your fees upfront, you must pay them by the due date on your student invoice. Visit How to pay your fees for instructions and fee payment options.
