Sites of Connection
13 August—30 October 2021
Curated by Lisa Chandler and Megan Williams
Presented by the University of the Sunshine Coast Art Gallery with support from Horizon Festival
Sites of Connection illuminated the work of artists at the intersection of creative practice and environmental research.
The works moved beyond the literal presentation of scientific research to demonstrate how artists employ creative methods to imaginatively explore environmental topics to spark curiosity, and generate dialogue.
Connecting audiences with a range of environmental research, Sites of Connection highlighted how creative practice can complement scientific discourses in building understanding and raising awareness of environmental matters.
