Business graduate adopts management techniques

A Petrie retail worker who manages a team of more than a dozen people is putting into practice the knowledge he gained during a USC Business degree.

Kosta Doueihi, 21, received his Bachelor of Business (Tourism, Leisure and Event Management) at a USC graduation ceremony on the Sunshine Coast last week (Thursday 26 September).

“Studying at USC has taught me a lot of things that I can incorporate into my current job and in the future,” said the St Patrick’s College graduate.

“I’m part of the management team at Coles Mango Hill, looking after the nightly standards and duties performed by a group of 15 people.

“It’s a great environment and provides a heap of management experience in many different circumstances.”

Kosta said his USC degree had taught him how to choose management strategies and techniques.

“I chose the University because of its Business School’s reputation,” he said. “Studying was made easier by having accessible resources and really helpful lecturers who were happy to go into detail.”

Applications are now open via QTAC to study at USC next year, when the University will also open its new Moreton Bay campus with a state-of-the-art foundation building and almost 50 degrees. For information on how to apply to USC, go to www.usc.edu.au/learn.
