People keen to start studying at USC’s new Moreton Bay campus at Petrie next year can find out all they need to know at one of two USC Open Day events over the next month.
The University will provide special information sessions about USC Moreton Bay at its Sunshine Coast campus at Sippy Downs on Sunday 21 July and at its Caboolture campus on Sunday 4 August.
Details about session times are available online at www.usc.edu.au/open-day, and a free bus service will run from USC Caboolture to USC Sunshine Coast on 21 July.
USC Vice-Chancellor Professor Greg Hill said he believed the opening of the new campus in time for Semester 1, 2020, would be a game-changer for the region.
“USC Moreton Bay will have almost 50 jobs-focused undergraduate programs available right from the first year,” he said.
“Our Open Day information sessions will give prospective students and their families plenty of details about the wide range of study opportunities on offer.
“Visitors will also hear about the state-of-the-art teaching spaces, including engineering labs, nursing labs and a makerspace.”
Among the study programs on offer are degrees in Arts, Business, Computer Science, Design, Education, Engineering, Nursing and Science.
The USC Open Day events will have other specific presentations for senior high school students and those who left school some time ago.
The former will provide tips about applying for and succeeding at university, choosing the right program to study, and how to make the most of university life. And the latter will outline the support services available at USC, and how students can find a way to balance their work, financial and family commitments.
