A panel of mental health experts will discuss the choices around the use of medications that affect the mind, emotions and behaviour in treatment of mental health disorders.

The public discussion on psychotropic medications will be held on Friday 2 November from 3.30pm to 6pm at USC’s Sippy Downs Campus Lecture Theatre 7 in Building C, 90 Sippy Downs Drive.

The panellists will include: National Mental Health Commissioner Kerry Hawkins; Queensland Mental Health Commissioner Ivan Frkovic; Sunshine Coast Mental Health and Addiction Services Clinical Director Dr Chris Lilley; peer support worker Ruby Williams; 2017 Mental Health Nurse of the Year Matthew Ball; psychiatrist Dr Robert Purssey and Indigenous consultant Harry Pitt.

Television personality and USC associate lecturer Rosanna Natoli will facilitate the question and answer discussion and Lyndon Davis from the Gubbi Gubbi Dance group will present the welcome to country.
