The opportunities for USC Law students to gain clerkships and future employment will be showcased on Wednesday 7 March at a special legal careers fair on campus at Sippy Downs.
The 2018 USC Law Students’ Association Careers Conference, to be held from 9-11am at the University’s Innovation Centre auditorium, has been organised by the student group in conjunction with USC’s Career Development team.
It will feature a panel discussion about clerkships, and stalls by legal organisations including Shine Lawyers, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and the Queensland Law Society.
Law Students’ Association spokesperson Tanisha Watts said the event would provide great opportunities for Law students to learn about how they can best launch their legal careers.
Legal professionals, including lawyers and human resource managers, will be on hand to give advice to law students about how to apply for clerkships while studying at USC.
Among those attending will be USC Law graduate Zac Smithers, who recently landed a position with Shine Lawyers after completing a vacation clerkship.
