Woodford resident Rebecca Reynolds has graduated with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in International Business, from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Rebecca, 24, received her degree at a special graduation ceremony at USC’s Sippy Downs campus on October 1.
Currently working in sales for electronics retailer Apple, Rebecca is seeking to utilise the skills and knowledge gained from university in a management career.
The Bribie Island State High School graduate said she had developed a strong interest in the world of international business during her studies.
“My degree enhanced my knowledge of global markets, cross-cultural communication, and specific factors impacting domestic and global economies daily,” Rebecca said.
“I was also given the opportunity to study abroad in Germany with Global Opportunities [now called Study Overseas].
“I have realised the importance of education and how this drives innovation and sustainable long-term decisions. In my career, I want to work towards being a successful CEO of an international company, hopefully in the renewable energy sector.”
Rebecca said the relaxed and personal study experience offered by USC was unique.
“When I was choosing where to study, the location of the University was desirable for me, being so close to beaches and in a lifestyle-orientated area,” she said.
“USC was new and smaller when I started my degree, so this was also a factor that I took into consideration.
“My teachers were very insightful, and study taught me how to commit to my work and strive to better myself in every assessment piece given to me.”
