A Swedish USC graduate is now working as a brand coordinator for one of Europe's fastest-growing technology companies Fyndiq.
Anusha Nayar of Stockholm completed a Bachelor of Communication majoring in Journalism in November 2012 and quickly landed her dream job at the Swedish start-up.
Her role involves coordinating sponsorship, branding, promotions and design projects in a busy and stimulating office.
“Working in an environment with super creative and intelligent people inspires me to strive to achieve great things and really push myself and the teams I coordinate,” she said.
“In my current position I get to apply valuable knowledge and theory I learnt during my degree. I have even written an illustrated book, and honestly, who thought one would ever manage to get paid to do that.”
While at USC, Anusha took advantage of the University’s personalised and flexible approach to learning.
“I packaged my degree with a lot of different courses – including public health, photography, public relations, creative writing and typography,” she said.
“With USC's intimate style of teaching, I could truly extract knowledge from my lecturers and apply it to my own world.
“By getting an insight from all these different disciplines I now, in my everyday life, have a wider understanding of how closely these fields correlate.”
Anusha was recently interviewed by Tyba, which specialise in promoting job opportunities at Swedish start-up companies on the internet.
