Recognised leaders in public health, health promotion, rehabilitation and human performance research
The Cluster for Health Improvement's (CHI) mission is to foster innovative applied research in health and translate into practice health research on issues that enhance quality of life for people and sustainability of communities. We focus on the entire lifespan (from birth to the grave) and specific diverse sub-populations, including people who have disabilities, elite sporting members and pregnant women.
The Cluster is structured around strategic relationships with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS), Skills, Academic and Research Centre (SARC) and the teaching hospital under construction at Kawana. These collaborations are designed with a focus on the development of early career researchers and higher degree research students and to promote the ability of our research to make a real difference in community health outcomes.
