Chargers are available to staff, students and authorised visitors via the Chargefox app.

Using the (EV) charging stations at UniSC Sunshine Coast

UniSC Sunshine Coast campus is a regulated parking area and is patrolled by the Sunshine Coast Council between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Please ensure you have a valid permit or parking session before charging your vehicle.

• All charging stations are only accessible via the Chargefox app
• Charging Cables are not provided so don’t forget to bring your own
• Charging sessions are limited to 4 hours. Failure to move your vehicle may result in a Parking infringement.

1. Download the Chargefox app on your smart device from the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android)
2. Register for an account using a personal email address (not your UniSC email) and enter your credit card details
3. Drive to campus and park your vehicle in an available charging bay
4. Use the network map in the app to find the relevant station number and tap 'DETAILS'
5. Follow the port instructions displayed in the app and plug in your vehicle
6. After a few seconds, your vehicle should start charging
7. End your charging session in the app by tapping 'STOP CHARGING'
8. Unplug your vehicle (Note: You may have to unlock it first)
9. Once your session is complete, you’ll be sent an invoice via email.

Charging fees

Fees are charged at $0.30 kWh.

A grace period of 15 minutes applies upon the completion of your 4-hour charging session limit.
