Emeritus Professor (September 2016)
Professor Mike Hefferan was named an Emeritus Professor in September 2016 in recognition of his significant contributions to the University as the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Engagement) and Professor, Property and Development, since commencing in August 2007.
Professor Hefferan has provided outstanding service to the University's agenda in sustainability and engagement and to initiatives including the development of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital; the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre; the development of university influence in the region through direct involvement with various levels of Government; the delivery of major conferences and events for the region; and expanding our footprint with the developments in Gympie, Fraser Coast and Moreton Bay.
