Distinguished Companion of the University (April 2017)
Patricia Allen was named a Distinguished Companion of the University in April 2017 in recognition of her significant contribution to the University as Director of Student Administration of USC.
Patricia has made a significant contribution to the USC student experience at a critical point in the maturation and success of the university.
During nearly eight years as Director of Student Administration, Patricia transformed many of the University’s student-facing systems and processes. Her many achievements include forming a core group of staff to build an effective Student Administration unit that was forward thinking, engaging and student focused; implementing a large number of student related policies and procedures which form the basis of how students interact with the University; facilitating frequent and productive discussions between non-academic Directors across the University on a range of topics, to help ease transitions between cross-functional systems; and playing a key role in developing the centre-led student-focused model for Student Services and Engagement, a vital outcome of the review of University administration operations.
