Joanne Lee holds dual degrees in nursing and education, combining expertise in both fields as a tutor, lecturer, and clinical facilitator at the University of Sunshine Coast since 2017. With over 26 years of experience in clinical and educational roles across various healthcare settings such as ICU, midwifery and primary health nursing, she offers a wealth of expertise. Joanne has been actively involved in teaching subjects such as Health Care and the Professions, Preparation for Practice, Anatomy & Physiology, and Nursing Practice.
Joanne has been awarded an Associate Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) which professionally recognises effectiveness and impact to improved outcomes for learners across the global community. Beyond teaching, Joanne is dedicated to advancing the nursing profession through research and is particularly interested in health professionals’ education and the application of generative AI in healthcare.
As a nursing academic Joanne believes in the power of education and is passionate about fostering excellence in nursing education, advancing knowledge through research, and building productive partnerships within the healthcare sector. Through her work, she is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of nursing students and the broader healthcare community.
